Its all documented on the Togfest Home Page heres the bit that matters: In spite of last year’s most successful Togfest ever, at a meeting on 14th February, reluctantly a hard decision was made to cancel this year’s event. Bradwell Abbey, the festival site, is a Scheduled Ancient Monument owned by Milton Keynes Council, and last year much needed, long overdue renovations finally began. Since then, a lot more of the site has been fenced off and we now learn that all the building works have been completely stopped for several months while heritage and conservation concerns are addressed. In spite of the great support from the team at the Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre and their alternative plans, with no date on the horizon for resuming the work, this left the festival with the strong possibility of reaching June and finding huge or impossible challenges in making the festival work. This year, as usual, there were also other difficulties to overcome, but with all the uncertainties involved, it was decided that efforts would be better put into working towards a terrific and certain festival in 2011. The team does not take a year off but will use the time to work on forward planning The article then goes on to mention the fantastic achievment last year in makng a profit worth talking about. Our sincere congrats go to the team on making that happen and securing a great party in 2011
