Steffi Lewis, programmer and ideas person behind the popular mk-music.net website has announced the imminent closure of the site. The Good News though is that the reason behind the decision is that a newer slicker and more advanced version of the site has been launched under the name Musatronic

The site was built on the old codebase and practical experience of MK-Music.net, but adding all those popular social networking / web2.0 features that the likes of Myspace and YouTube have brought to the world.
Already most of the bands that are web-literate and used mk-music have made the jump, so its unlikely there will be a need to keep mk-music going. However the new site gives musicians and their followers the opportunity to create and style a complete profile, upload songs and videos and even offer them for sale. This last feature we believe is a killer app and something we identified as a desirable feature sometime ago. Therefore it brings a warm glow to our heart to know that someone who cares so much about music in MK has made it happen. Theres no need to tout on myspace for free any longer, as individual tunes can be sold in mp3 format for up to 75p each.
We won't bore you with too much more info, as its only a click away. This click right here... (which illustrates our own profile, of course !!)
